How long does permanent lighting installation take?
Installation is typically completed in a single day, but larger or commercial properties may take a couple of days.
How many colors and effects can I choose from?
With the Watts 2.0 app, you get access to over 16 million color options, 20+ built-in light animations, and hundreds of ready-to-use presets (plus the ability to save your own custom patterns and effects). This feature is great for all seasons and occasions, as well as security and architectural lighting.
Can I control the lights from my phone?
Can I set up automatic timers for my lights?
Yes, you can program your lights to turn on and off or switch effects at specific times through the mobile app, Watts 2.0. You can even have them run from sunset to sunrise with smart control!
Are the lights water/weatherproof?
Yes, Northern Lights' permanent lights are water- and weatherproof and durable, and are specifically engineered to withstand all Wisconsin weather conditions while maintaining peak performance.
Will the lights affect my gutters or drainage system?
No, at Northern Lights, our team is very careful that our lights do not interfere with your gutters or drainage. Our permanent lights are installed under the soffits so that they stay discreet and out of the way of how rainwater or runoff flows off your roof.
How do I replace broken lights?
You probably won't need to, but if you do, we offer a lifetime warranty on parts and labor, so you just call us! Because our lights are connected one by one with IP68 connectors, it's as easy as unscrewing a broken light and screwing a new one in. We'll have it resolved in just a few minutes!
How will permanent LED lights affect my energy bill?
LED lights are highly energy-efficient compared with traditional bulbs. LEDs use at least 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Because they use less power and they can be scheduled to shut off automatically, you will likely see minimal impact on your energy bill.
How long do permanent LED lights last?
LED lights are rated for long lifespans, typically 50,000 hours of use before noticeable dimming, or a replacement is needed.
Does Northern Lights offer product warranties?
We offer a lifetime warranty (up to 50,000 hrs) on parts and labor.
